COMMUNITY PROJECTS
BIABH - ‘EVERYBODY HURTS’ CHARITY SINGLE
BIABH is a Leeds-based music and emotional wellbeing project run on behalf of Leeds Music Trust. During lockdown, we filmed and recorded a cover of ‘Everybody Hurts’. Mixed by Matti Scott. I edited the footage, pulling together all the different shots to make it flow and feel cohesive.
LEFT BANK LEEDS - ‘MONSTER’ BY GILES WALKER
This is an interview and exhibition film from Giles Walker’s ‘Monster’ project, capturing the opening night of the art installation at Left Bank Leeds. Filming this was a lot of fun and gave me a real appreciation for the creativity and effort behind a sculpture project like this. The footage was edited by Gareth Dakin.
RUTH FONES - ‘PLEASE DON’T TOUCH THE ART’
I collaborated with Ruth Fones on her project 'Please Don't Touch The Art', exploring art and accessibility for visually impaired individuals. I worked with Ruth to create an interactive painting. The painting triggers sounds corresponding to the objects depicted when touched—for example, church bells play when touching the church. The sounds were recorded in various locations around Wakefield and later edited by me to integrate seamlessly into the artwork. It was an incredible project to be part of, challenging me to design an immersive experience that bridges visual art and sensory engagement.
BALBIR SINGH DANCE COMPANY - UNMASKING PAIN
Being part of this project was such a rewarding experience. It was inspiring to see how dance, music, and creativity can be used to support people living with chronic pain. Balbir is collaborating with Durham and Leeds Beckett University to delve into the science of pain and explore how movement can have a positive impact. I worked with Gareth Dakin to film this project over the course of a year. He then edited the footage into this short film, capturing the progress and impact of the work.
